About Connectix Broadband Systems


Connectix Broadband Systems is a subsidiary of Connectix Cabling Systems.

Formed in 1993, Connectix is a UK based manufacturer of Fibre & Copper connectivity and associated products. Connectix provide a full portfolio of products into the FTTx marketplace, supporting Altnets and ISP’s across the UK to deliver Britain’s Superfast Broadband future.

Our extensive Broadband portfolio starts from the datacentre or TE, incorporates Street cabinets, a full range of GPON / XGS-PON equipment, PIA approved ULW fibre cables, Drop cables, UG Direct burial / Duct fibre, Domes and Aerial Nodes, customer entry enclosures as well as our Discreet Fibre Cabling System - UFO (Unseen Fibre Optics) to meet your MDU or discreet installation needs.

Connectix is unique in its ability to work with our customers to design and develop bespoke solutions that are realised into fully functioning products in incredibly short time frames.

We provide stock, logistics, customer service, R&D and the production of Connectix Cabling Systems all from our 194,000 square foot head offices in Braintree, Essex. The Connectix team of mechanical and electrical design engineers use CAD and advanced prototyping to turn concepts into reality, staying at the forefront of technology and developing industry leading connectivity solutions.

Our 40,000 sq ft racks and enclosure factory features punch and fold production Amada machinery, automated sheet loaders and press brakes, while our spray paint and powder coating facility is state of the art. This facility allows us to provide specific metalwork solutions, to enhance the speed and ease of installation that is required in the FTTx marketplace.

In House Design and Development

Since inception in 1993, Connectix has continuously invested into state of the art research and development tooling, machinery and equipment and most importantly – people and training.

We have 25 in-house 3D printing machines which are designed for rapid Research, Development and Prototyping.

Our Mechanical and Electrical Product Design Engineers offer over 25 years’ experience in network cabling products along with having Electrical Designers whose experience pre date the inception of Connectix.

Stock & Logistics

Connectix Cabling Systems hold stock in excess of £7m, ready for immediate dispatch from our Essex HQ. Additional stock is also available from our Milton Keynes, Dublin and Edinburgh warehouses. With the pressures brought by the nationwide roll outs of FTTx, Connectix already work with a number of AltNets & ISP’s providing the bonding and control of stock, to then be delivered nationwide next day as required.

Connectix has a dedicated fleet delivery service for difficult site access situations (e.g. LOCOG, HM Prison projects), meaning we will always get your orders on site and on time regardless of any difficulties in transit. We are able to offer pre 10am, pre-noon and Saturday deliveries as well as standard next day, all of which are supported by our large courier/pallet networks.

We expedite over 5,000 consignments per month a next day delivery rate of 98.5%.

Each account will be assigned a dedicated in-house Account Manager for any enquiries, stock checks, daily ad hoc requests, and proof of delivery (POD) reporting.

Client Support

The Connectix Account Managers provide a unique service to all our customers through a personal approach to your business, enquiries and orders and pre and post-sales support.

The Account Management team have been with Connectix for an average of 20 years, providing professional guidance and support for all Connectix Cabling Systems products. With over 3000 individual product lines, finding the appropriate materials for your project is eased with your dedicated internal contact. Our dedicated internal Account Managers can deal with your enquiries quickly and with minimal disruption to your day – service absolutely matters to us.

Over and above the internal team, Connectix Broadband Systems are steadily growing to have a nationwide cover of external customer management personnel, who are able to assist you with the procurement process for your FTTx needs.

To back up the Client Management team , Connectix Broadband Systems also have a team of technical consultants, who offer a mountain of industry experience and knowledge to help our customers with any enquiry. Our Certified Network Infrastructure Designers (CNID) and Registered Communication Distribution Designers (RCDD) are able to help with specifications and tenders as well as post-sales support.

Connectix Training Facilities

Connectix purpose-built training facilities are located next to our head office in Braintree Essex.

Our UFO Training pods enable installers to have a hands on experience of, learning mid spanning techniques, customer installations, equipment testing, glue application along with riser boxes and pre-terminated dressing.

All training is run by a fully qualified Connectix Cabling Systems trainer who, coming from a long history within the industry, is extremely well versed in real life installation techniques and ensures our courses are constantly updated in line with the rapidly changing standards, technologies and terminologies.

Market Capabilities

Connectix Broadband Systems provide end-to-end FTTx solutions for ISP’s and Altnet’s both in the UK and worldwide. Our wide range of solutions are designed to provide effective, cost-efficient connectivity with bandwidth capabilities to suit any network build whether it be new or retro.

We have been working closely with Openreach and major AltNets developing our PIA approved and portfolio solutions, which include a range of bare end and pre-terminated drop cables, unique customer prem solutions as well as tools to aid the installation of duct cables.
